Job Title: Night Drilling Supervisor

Client: Supermajor – Oil and Gas Operator

Location: Offshore – Danish Waters

Assignment Type: Rotational, annually renewable contract

Start Date: July/August 2026 – 12 months (potential extension)

Shift Pattern: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off

Description

Safety, Health and Environment

  • Act as a visible role model for exemplary SHE behaviour.

  • Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, influence, and proactive engagement with rig/vessel contractors and service companies.

  • Perform audits in line with agreed action plans, including checks on maintenance records, certification, handover documentation, Permit to Work systems, and well control/diving preparedness.

  • Support contractor-led safety initiatives.

  • Monitor, report, and address safety aspects related to current and planned worksite activities.

  • Intervene immediately and implement corrective actions where required.

Operations

  • Administer, supervise, and coordinate offshore operations in accordance with contract requirements and approved programmes and procedures.

  • Ensure rig contractors and vendors are involved in planning, understand the scope, and have the competence to execute safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain a strong on-site presence to monitor operations and support performance improvement.

  • Ensure activities are delivered to the required quality standards and within schedule.

  • Liaise daily with rig/vessel teams to report operational progress and highlight issues.

  • Maintain a detailed daily logbook covering key events, progress, deviations, and exceptions.

  • Ensure all scope changes and deviations are managed in accordance with Management of Change procedures.

  • Report non-conformities related to contracts, standards, and procedures.

  • Ensure daily coordination meetings are held with senior rig/vessel and service company personnel.

  • Confirm all new personnel onboard understand their roles, responsibilities, and competency requirements.

  • Provide thorough verbal and written handovers to colleagues.

  • Act as the liaison between the rig/vessel and production platform (where applicable), ensuring effective communication at interface meetings.

  • Ensure all process and specialist equipment is maintained in safe working condition.

For Company Representative – Day Only

  • Mentor Company Representatives and Well Site Engineers.

  • Provide operational support to the Night Representative during critical activities.

  • Ensure the Plan of Action process is followed.

  • Update Best Case Time Plan and logistics requirements daily in coordination with the Offshore Materials Coordinator.

  • Ensure accurate and timely operational reporting.

Competences

  • Relevant engineering qualification to College/University level (extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu).

  • Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry requirements.

  • Proven North Sea operational experience.

Special Requirements

  • BOSC (Basic Offshore Safety training including helicopter evacuation).

  • IWCF Level 4 (combined).

  • Valid offshore medical certificate.

  • Strong leadership and team-building capability.

  • Effective planning, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Confident decision-maker with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
