NDT Lead - Offshore & Subsea Projects

Location: Doha, Qatar

Employment Type: 1-year contract (possible extension)

Working Schedule: 5 days per week, residential; multiple international travel and offshore missions expected

Start Date: December 2025

We are seeking an experienced NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Lead to provide technical leadership for NDT activities across multiple offshore and subsea projects. You will supervise NDT teams, ensure compliance with international codes and standards, and support quality and integrity assurance for offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide NDT expertise across multiple offshore and subsea projects.
  • Supervise NDT inspectors and ensure consistent and compliant execution of NDT activities.
  • Implement technical standards and local/international codes for all NDT operations.
  • Support engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and offshore installation activities.
  • Liaise with engineering and construction teams to manage deviations impacting technical standards.
  • Monitor and support NDT operator qualifications, including PAUT, ToFD, and AUT systems.
  • Review, validate, and approve NDT procedures, records, and method statements.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections of NDT activities worldwide, including offshore missions.
  • Lead investigations of significant quality or technical issues related to NDT.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports, KPIs, and technical feedback to QA/QC management.
  • Participate in project close-outs, lessons learned, and quality feedback initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of NDT experience in offshore and subsea oil and gas projects.
  • Certified ISO 9712 Level III in multiple NDT methods including:
    • Radiography (RT)
    • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) & ToFD
    • Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
    • Penetrant Testing (PT)
    • Magnetic Testing (MT)
    • Indirect Visual Testing (VT)
  • Familiar with ASME, API, DNV, AWS, ASTM, NACE, and ISO standards.
  • Experience with automatic welding inspection and PAUT systems is mandatory.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in complex, multicultural environments; fluent in English.
  • Valid H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET certifications.
