Job Title: Mechanical Planner

Job Summary:
A leading energy company is seeking a Mechanical Planner to provide maintenance planning services for onshore operations. The role ensures effective scheduling, allocation of resources, and execution of maintenance activities to improve the reliability and operational efficiency of plant assets.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed scope of work for asset maintenance work orders.

Plan and allocate resources including labour, materials, tools, equipment, and contracts to support maintenance execution.

Review new maintenance notifications daily to ensure sufficient information for planning and realistic time frames.

Monitor and track associated costs, ensuring accuracy in work orders and SAP Bill of Materials (BOM).

Facilitate material returns to stock and ensure consistency with company standards.

Maintain and update preventive maintenance (PM) plans and SAP PM task lists for routine and major repetitive works.

Support work order close-out processes, ensuring technical completion (TECO).

Coordinate with Asset Maintenance supervisors, planners, engineering, and supply departments to achieve operational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in maintenance planning or scheduling within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry, with at least 3 years in planning/scheduling roles.
Key Skills & Attributes:

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Computer literate and familiar with industry-specific software such as SAP PM.

Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-stakeholder environment.

Knowledge of maintenance procedures, KPI monitoring, and preventive maintenance processes.
