About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team delivering complex projects in the energy sector. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and supporting both onshore and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Support project planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineers.
- Conduct technical inspections, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for mechanical failures.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, calculations, and design documentation.
- Provide technical support during testing, commissioning, and operational handover.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 3-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering within oil & gas, energy, or related industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, pressure vessels, and rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in offshore projects or construction management.
- Familiarity with maintenance and reliability engineering practices.
- Professional registration (e.g., IMechE) is advantageous.
