Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team on a contract basis. The role involves supporting design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for industrial projects. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, ensure compliance with specifications and standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical design, analysis, and modification of systems, equipment, and components
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with standards
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose engineering solutions to technical challenges
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems
- Identify and resolve design or operational issues, providing technical recommendations
- Maintain clear documentation of designs, calculations, and project changes
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical process optimisation
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and engineering standards
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Knowledge of stress analysis, thermal analysis, and mechanical calculations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English; French language skills are advantageous
Work Environment
- Office-based in Paris with occasional site visits
- Collaborative, project-driven environment with multidisciplinary teams
