Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and follow material orders, ensuring end-to-end traceability (inbound, storage, outbound, installation, rig returns) so orders are tracked, inventory is correctly maintained both physically and in SAP, and all relevant material documentation is available for rig operations.
- Interface with contractors, stock controllers, cost controllers, and logistics teams.
- Plan and control company-owned stock materials' availability.
- Collaborate closely with a second material supervisor and Lead QAQC Engineer.
- Support technical and administrative teams in the office.
- Cross-coordinate with all drilling and wells contractors.
- Serve as Point of Contact (PoC) for materials.
- Control drilling and wells inventory, stock movements, and records.
- Use SAP for material records and monitor purchase order/contract details.
- Ensure SAP Material Module (MM) is utilized for transactions and reporting.
- Employ Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
- Control materials receipt, preservation & storage, consumption, and tracking for drilling and wells equipment at contractor bases.
- Create and manage a Material Master Register in Excel for all drilling and wells goods.
- Allocate materials based on the rig schedule and update reservations in SAP.
- Regularly perform inventory checks with QAQC representatives, logistics, and procurement teams.
- Collaborate on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) with service contractors to identify excesses/shortages.
- Ensure goods movement records are traceable in SAP throughout all stages.
- Make license requests for specialized goods (such as those with HS codes for offshore rigs).
- Establish and report KPIs for materials.
- Publish reports concerning material initiatives and decisions.
- Participate in contractors' Service Quality Meetings (SQMs), focusing on material and stock.
- Coordinate regular meetings with contractors and company stakeholders.
Context & Environment:
- Fast Track Green Field deepwater project (32 wells, 2 rigs, 3 years drilling), post-FID phase of a major oil and gas development in Suriname.
- Multicultural project environment with multiple contractors.
- First Oil scheduled Q4 2027; drilling and well operations begin Q4 2026.
- Position based in Paramaribo, joining from Q3 2026.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 15+ years' professional experience in upstream oil & gas industry.
- 6-10 years' experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; SAP certification is desirable.
- Proven logistics coordination skills for goods and proficient use of SAP MM module.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- English required; French or other languages a plus.
- Offshore Medical Certificate.
- BOSIET + HUET.
