Master Data Governance Lead
Working Location: On-site, Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
Lead the Master Data Governance (MDG) function by coordinating the development, validation, and maintenance of Material Masters (MM) and their associated databases. Ensure high-quality, reliable material data that supports procurement, inventory, and operational processes while aligning with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and embed the Master Data Governance (MDG) process into annual objectives and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous data quality improvement and compliance.
- Lead and validate MDG creation and change processes to ensure accuracy of Material Master (MM) data, system integrity, and regulatory compliance for all stock and non-stock materials.
- Coordinate and monitor MM accuracy for Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) and Purchase Requisition (PR) processes to prevent discrepancies and meet material demand requirements.
- Advise management on inventory growth planning, ensuring MDG readiness, accurate Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL), and alignment with departmental goals.
- Ensure material technical specifications align with vendor data for efficient procurement processes.
- Implement standardized activities to review and sustain Material Masters in SAP, preventing duplications and ensuring database fields meet end-user requirements.
- Embed and maintain data controls and field standards within SAP, aligning MM with asset and reliability strategies.
- Review and implement MDG workflow, identify data gaps, and carry out preventive actions to ensure service levels and data integrity.
- Coach and develop team members using structured development and succession frameworks to maintain MDG excellence.
- Lead digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for system enhancements, automation, and data-driven solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or industrial engineering.
- 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of supplier relations and industry best practices.
- Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of material management, material preservation, and warehouse management operations.
