About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Marine & Lifting Manager to provide technical guidance and oversight for all marine and lifting activities across Major Projects (MP) and Venture Group (NFPS). The role ensures alignment with key stakeholders, effective execution of projects, SIMOPS coordination, and efficient management of offshore and onshore operations.

Reporting and Relationships:

  • Reports to: Senior Project Manager (Technical)

  • Direct reports: 4 (DM and 3 Heads)

  • Total headcount: 11 + 4 Contractors

  • Interfaces with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Installation Managers, and supporting functions internally

  • Interfaces externally with EPC contractors, vendors, subcontractors, vessel providers, and Marine Surveying Companies

Key Responsibilities:

Marine & Lifting Oversight:

  • Provide technical guidance for all MP/NFPS marine and lifting activities.

  • Integrate and centralize marine assurance for all projects, ensuring compliance with QELNG Marine Operational Procedures.

  • Act as focal point with Offshore Operations, OESS, and QELNG Marine to identify gaps, remove barriers, and optimize execution efficiency.

  • Lead assessment and management of critical lifting and diving operations, ensuring safe and reliable standards.

  • Guide Critical Lifting Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance with company requirements.

Project Execution & Coordination:

  • Establish execution activity plans, SIMOPS schedules, and readiness processes for MP/NFPS projects.

  • Consolidate best practices, standardize processes, and facilitate lessons learned across projects.

  • Promote synergies and efficiency through consistent execution strategies and multi-discipline task forces.

  • Maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders and vendors to support project success.

  • Monitor project resources, execution gaps, and provide recommendations to management.

Safety, Health & Environment:

  • Promote proactive safety culture and implement industry-leading HSES practices.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety, health, environmental, and quality policies.

  • Maintain a learning environment and turn safety visions into actionable improvement plans.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in capital projects execution, with 10+ years at Construction & Installation Management level or equivalent.

  • Proven track record managing large-scale marine, lifting, and offshore operations.

  • Experience with international EPC contractors and major operators (IOC & NOC).

  • Knowledge of design standards, codes, and safety criteria for oil & gas facilities, structures, fabrication, transport, and installation.

  • Familiarity with QatarEnergy LNG standards, Project Management System (QGMS), and HSE Management System.

  • Multi-discipline skill set with experience across project assignments.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, coordination, and planning abilities.

  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
