Job Title: Maintenance Support Electrical Engineer
Location: Qatar
Contract Type: 2-Year Secondment Contract (renewable based on performance and business requirements)
Working Schedule: 5 days/week | 8–10 hours/day
Job Purpose:
To provide technical and engineering support to Maintenance, Operations, and Supply departments by driving improvements in equipment reliability, cost efficiency, maintenance execution, and troubleshooting. The role also supports lifecycle management, asset preservation, and reliability-centered initiatives across onshore and offshore facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct technical reviews of RSPLs (Recommended Spare Parts Lists) and recommend spares for new and existing projects.

Review and evaluate shelf-life expired stock and advise on replenishment or scrapping.

Analyze and recommend maximum/minimum spare parts levels for non-moving, surplus, obsolete, or critical stock.

Monitor capital spares and advise on preservation, upkeep, and lifecycle extension.

Review and approve Electrical Maintenance Strategies and evaluate technical bids (TBE) during procurement.

Lead or participate in engineering feasibility studies (eMOC) to resolve obsolescence and asset integrity concerns.

Support Electrical Master Data Governance (MDG) activities in SAP for material creation, modification, and obsolescence.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with vendors and manufacturers to obtain technical insights and ensure engineering alignment.

Support planning and implementation of Obsolescence Management Programs for electrical systems and associated spare parts.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.

Extensive exposure to plant construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operations.

Hands-on experience with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and engineering document systems.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders across departments.
Technical Expertise:

Strong working knowledge of international standards: IEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA, etc.

Proficient in Hazardous Area (Ex-rated) Equipment for electrical and instrument applications.
