JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope of Work
The Maintenance Superintendent will be the focal point for coordinating and supervising site maintenance activities to ensure asset integrity, reliability, and availability. You will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Inspection, and Smart Room teams to define maintenance priorities, optimize short- and long-term maintenance plans, and support predictive and reliability-based maintenance strategies in line with safety, production, and budget objectives.

Main Responsibilities
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, fault tree analysis, PTW process, weekly safety meetings, and H.S.E site committee. Attend all meetings related to site maintenance.
- Identify maintenance needs in collaboration with Operational Authority to guarantee adequate safety at site, respecting the production budget. Liaise with the maintenance department to define activity programs aimed at minimizing production shortfalls.
- Work with the smart room to monitor sensitive process and rotating equipment parameters (such as vibrations, pressures, temperatures, reliability, and efficiency), advising on maintenance strategies.
- Support Smart Room and reliability engineers in developing predictive maintenance approaches to optimize maintenance costs versus equipment availability.
- Control short- and long-term maintenance plans to ensure compliance with maintenance policy, working closely with the maintenance department.
- Coordinate with the inspection team to optimize equipment downtime and ensure facility integrity.
- Define priorities for maintenance tasks after coordination with Operational Authority, sharing information and overseeing implementation.
- Participate in daily permit-to-work meetings and hold regular maintenance meetings.
- Ensure site maintenance procedures are valid and relevant.
- Check availability of spare parts and lubricants for the maintenance program.
- Analyze breakdowns and production shortfalls with the production team.
- Contribute to budget preparations for normal and heavy maintenance activities.
- Review the quality and relevance of maintenance activities.
- Organize multi-trade audits of the installation with discipline managers.
- Evaluate maintenance contractors' performance, suggest improvements, and enforce contractor HSE plans aligned with objectives.
- Share plant maintenance KPI performances with the maintenance department.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrument Engineering
- 10 years' experience in maintenance field activities, with at least 5 years in operational maintenance on oil & gas plants
- Experience in maintenance activities and contracts management
- Fluent in both Italian and English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrates natural authority, strong decision-making, organizational, and communication skills; methodical, rigorous, and proactive approach
