Position Title: Maintenance Scheduler
Location: Mesaieed, Qatar

Overview:
The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling daily maintenance activities in a systematic, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The role supports the Senior Scheduling Engineer in ensuring maintenance productivity, quality, and schedule compliance while coordinating with planning, execution, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules for daily maintenance activities (non-major shutdown jobs)

Perform resource leveling to optimise production reliability and asset preservation

Coordinate with Maintenance Planning Engineers, execution teams, and production personnel to ensure schedule compliance

Maintain work package references, man-hour, and material libraries for each piece of equipment

Update reference plans and schedules for ongoing maintenance activities

Assist in defining and implementing scheduling software management processes and procedures

Participate in weekly schedule reviews and maintain accurate reporting of schedule compliance and backlog KPIs

Maintain records of schedules, changes, and conflicts to support smooth operations

Ensure compliance with QAFCO Life Saving Rules and all relevant Integrated Management System procedures, including Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality requirements
Requirements:

Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline (12+3 years), preferably Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 5 years’ relevant hands-on experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer industries

Competency in ERP SAP Maintenance Module (EAM), preferably SAP S4-HANA

Experience with scheduling tools such as MS Project; familiarity with SAP-integrated scheduling tools is advantageous

Strong communication and coordination skills

Attention to detail, ability to track KPIs and maintain accurate records

Familiarity with permit-to-work (PTW) systems, HSEQ procedures, and safety standards
