Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance function for large-scale production facilities within the oil & gas, chemical, refinery, nuclear, or utilities sectors. This role involves managing all aspects of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, maintaining plant reliability, and achieving performance targets within safety and operational constraints.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all maintenance activities, including routine, non-routine, and breakdown work, to minimise downtime and maintain service intervals.

Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of planned activities.

Monitor team performance, compiling monthly management reports and tracking progress against inspection schedules.

Oversee site stock, spare parts, and the implementation of a spares strategy to ensure availability of critical items.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, including equipment history, reports, and certificates, in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensure all statutory inspections and maintenance schedules are delivered on time and in line with regulations.

Drive activities to maintain plant integrity and maximise operational reliability.
Qualifications and Experience:

Proven leadership experience in managing maintenance teams within heavy industry or processing environments.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify improvements and implement development plans.

Detailed knowledge of mechanical plant and ancillary equipment, including safe operation, start-up, shutdown, and maintenance.

Understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.

Knowledge of safe working practices and operational characteristics within the gas processing or wider energy sector.

Experience in UK and/or European gas or power operations is desirable.
