Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Client: Multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services Internationally
Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Location: Boden, Sweden
Residential/ Rotation: 4 weeks on office/site, one week working on remote, on rotation. Working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations including inbound and outbound, transportation, last mile delivery, escorting in and out of deliveries to the construction site and monitoring of truck unloading/loading , as well monitoring inventory control. The role ensures that steel structure, equipment and materials are delivered efficiently, safely, and on time to support project timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Transportation
- Coordinate transportation of materials, and equipment to and from the construction site.
- Track shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving delays.
- Schedule and truck last mile delivery Schedule, according to installation plan
- Liaise with freight carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and manage packing lists, CMR, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics transactions, inbound/outbound, monitor and report delivery plan accomplishment.
Logistics Coordination
- Collaborate with logistics and transport teams to schedule inbound and outbound of deliveries to the Site.
- Ensure timely dispatch of materials to support project schedules.
- Resolve issues related to deliveries delays, damaged goods, or inventory discrepancies.
Material Handling and Inventory support
- Assist in loading and unloading of material.
- Asist in Inventory counting
- Assist in Open Box Inspections, keep records.
- Assist in conducting stock counts and inventory audits.
- Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Support in inventory reports and records
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the point of contact between Client, transporters, internal departments and Contractors.
- Communicate logistics plans and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Resolve issues related to damaged goods, shipment errors, or delays.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices in transportation.
- Support digitalization and automation initiatives in logistics operations.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory systems.
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Forklift or crane operation certification.
- Experience with international shipping and customs procedures.
- Familiarity with lean logistics and continuous improvement methodologies.
