Job Description

  • Lead Site Technician required to support offshore wind construction and commissioning activities at the Leba project in Poland.

  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision, coordination, and execution of mechanical, maintenance, and general site activities across OSS, OFTO, and BOP assets.

  • Act as the on-site lead for Site Technicians, managing rotas, timesheets, RAMS, daily planning, toolbox talks, and progress reporting.

  • Ensure safe and efficient execution of offshore and onshore tasks.

  • Hands-on and supervisory role covering inspection, maintenance, cleaning, snagging, fuelling operations, lifting equipment, fall-arrest systems, helideck support, harbour duties, vessel interface, and general asset upkeep.

  • Support HSE compliance, inductions, drills, POB management, and coordination with vessels and contractors.

  • Role operates on a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation and requires strong offshore experience, leadership capability, and relevant GWO/BOSIET certifications.

Key Tasks

  • Day-to-day tasks for BOP and OSS/OFTO assets and ad hoc activities

  • Responsible for Site Technicians, including rota and timesheets

  • Overall daily planning of tasks and RAMS

  • Repair and maintenance of BOP, OFTO and additional project tasks

  • Operate, check and manage maintenance of OSS crane, davit lifting systems and manual hoists

  • Maintenance and replacement of defective fall-arrestors

  • Assist with snags after installation

  • Cleaning of offshore assets using jet/power washer, including boat landings

  • Manage toilet change-out and cleaning by sub-contractor

  • Inspection and re-certification of statutory items

  • Ad hoc tasks both onshore and offshore

  • General harbour duties including manual handling in support of Harbour Site Supervisor

  • Daily supervisory tasks on OSS including toolbox talks, planning meetings, progress reporting, and vessel communication

  • Assist with OSS mechanical snags after installation

  • Manage fuelling operations from OSS platforms

  • General maintenance and inspections of mechanical OSS systems (non-electrical during construction), including helideck if applicable

  • Site walk-downs and checks for ONSS and OSS as directed

  • Assist with fuelling, cargo unloading and loading of vessels

  • Cleaning of OSS decks including mould, mildew, bird guano and water removal

  • Ad hoc onshore and offshore tasks including PPE management

  • Act as HLO or HDA at OSS where helicopter transport is planned

  • Walk-down and handover inspections

  • Check, maintain and replace damaged items on offshore structures such as gate pins and latches

  • Servicing, repair, refuelling and removal of foundation generators

  • Undertake inductions, HSE drills and POB counts for OSS platforms

Requirements

  • GWO courses: Sea Survival, Working at Heights, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling

  • BOSIET/HUET including CA-EBS

  • OGUK Medical certificate including Chester Step

  • Relevant education: Rigger/Banksman/Slinger, Cutting/Grinding/Drilling recommended

  • Five years of relevant experience
