Key Responsibilities
-
Lead detailed technical assessments of pump systems and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvement or failure mitigation.

Provide engineering support for capital projects across all stages—pre-feasibility, design, procurement, and execution—specifically involving pumps and seal systems.

Utilize hydraulic modeling and system simulation tools to evaluate and optimize pump and piping system performance.

Participate in multidisciplinary task forces to investigate failures or resolve major operational challenges.

Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and availability of rotating equipment.

Offer on-the-ground troubleshooting support and develop practical, risk-evaluated solutions to complex issues.

Guide and mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across departments.

Serve as the subject matter expert on pump systems, supporting internal standards, maintenance strategies, and design best practices.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).

Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with a strong focus on rotating equipment, especially pumps and pumping systems.

Proven expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues in pump operations, seal systems, and associated mechanical components.

Deep understanding of international standards and failure analysis methods related to pumps and rotating machinery.

Certifications in areas such as vibration analysis, mechanical integrity, or reliability engineering are highly regarded.

Strong communication and mentoring abilities, with experience leading or supporting diverse technical teams.

Willingness to travel for site assessments, troubleshooting, or project support as required.
