JOB PURPOSE
This role provides technical leadership for the delivery of major valve packages and Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) across a large-scale oil and gas development. The position acts as a focal point from design through to fabrication, testing, integration, and commissioning, ensuring safe, timely, and quality delivery of all package elements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the delivery of valves and ICSS packages from design to commissioning, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Provide visible safety leadership and maintain a culture of care across all activities.

Ensure full implementation of project requirements and control deliverables across engineering, quality, schedule, and HSE.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (process, structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, quality, HSE, procurement) to resolve issues and progress package delivery.

Oversee development of acceptance, FAT, SAT, and commissioning test procedures for ICSS packages.

Ensure robust execution planning, including brownfield integration and vendor coordination.

Manage relationships with EPC contractors, system vendors, and suppliers to drive performance and achieve project milestones.

Monitor contractor reporting, analyse performance, and identify mitigation actions for potential schedule or technical risks.

Provide subject matter expertise in valves, ICSS hardware/software, and third-party interface requirements.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (advanced degree desirable).

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including extensive experience in valve package delivery and ICSS engineering in the oil and gas industry.

Proven track record as a package lead/manager on large EPC projects.

In-depth knowledge of large-bore valve manufacturing, testing, and delivery challenges.

Strong expertise in ICSS lifecycle, including design, FAT, SAT, and commissioning.

Familiarity with international piping codes and standards, design criteria, and safety requirements.

Experience working with EPC contractors, suppliers, and major oil and gas operators.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

High level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
