Position Title: Lead of Cost Control
Location: Onshore, Qatar
Department: NFPS Compression
Contract Term: 36 months (possible extension)
Working Hours: 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, approx. 26 days per month

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead of Cost Control to provide expert guidance and management of cost allocation, planning, and expenditure within a large-scale oil and gas compression project. This role demands a strong understanding of project cost governance, budgeting, and financial stewardship to ensure compliance with approved budgets and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement efficient cost control processes and provide expert advice on cost accounting and allocation.
- Review and evaluate cost assumptions and plans, keeping project management fully informed of cost governance status.
- Identify opportunities to standardise cost processes and recommend improvements.
- Manage funding submissions including advance commitments and supplementary funding as required.
- Maintain comprehensive cost and man-hour databases to support estimating and benchmarking activities.
- Review and enhance cost-related procedures to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Participate as cost subject matter expert in corporate governance activities including Gate Reviews, Independent Project Reviews, and audits.
- Provide timely expert advice on cost control and change management to the Project Management Team.
- Estimate costs for potential change orders and manage the Management of Change process for large capital projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cost allocation, estimation, and planning within oil and gas project environments.
- Familiarity with SAP/Business Intelligence tools is preferable.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant technical software.
- Ability to understand technical project scopes and execution strategies.
