We’re supporting a market-leading advisory firm that delivers complex energy and infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. With a strong portfolio in Refinery, Chemical, Offshore, CCS, and Hydrogen sectors, this firm is expanding rapidly, having recently secured multiple contracts in both hydrocarbon and energy transition markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer to take the reins on high-impact projects, shaping the future of energy infrastructure across continents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of power system layouts to meet safety, cost, timing, and performance objectives

  • Apply industry guidelines and regulations throughout system development and design

  • Compile technical assessments and analyse operational data to feed into wider engineering models

  • Estimate resource requirements and timelines for defined scopes of electrical work

  • Support large-scale power system design, including generation assets above 500 MW and variable drives up to 50 MW

  • Act as a subject matter expert on electrical engineering matters within multidisciplinary teams

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, offering technical support and guidance

  • Interface with mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, client, supplier, and contractor teams

  • Oversee electrical documentation, layout development, and package integration across the full project lifecycle

  • Support procurement activities and specification reviews for electrical equipment

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and engineering design on major projects

  • Strong background in early-phase and full-lifecycle projects, including offshore or energy transition experience

  • Skilled in producing and reviewing electrical layouts and documentation

  • Proficient in working across voltage levels (from 132kV to LV)

  • Familiar with procurement of mechanical/electrical systems and interface management

  • Experience with electrical modelling tools such as ETAP or similar software

  • Working knowledge of relevant UK and international engineering standards

Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) is desirable but not essential
