Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer - Field Services (Permanent Role)

This permanent position offers a diverse role combining field and office-based activities, focusing on inspection, condition assessment, testing, and troubleshooting of overhead conductors, structures, and hardware. Key Responsibilities

Conduct investigations and technical studies requiring knowledge across mechanical, electrical, metallurgical, chemical, and non-destructive evaluation disciplines.

Perform field testing on overhead phase conductors, structures, and associated hardware.

Comply with safety protocols, participate in pre-job meetings, and ensure timely completion of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

Provide technical expertise on complex projects, ensuring delivery within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints.

Support multiple projects simultaneously, contributing to contract administration, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.

Prepare clear, high-quality work procedures, technical reports, and recommendations based on findings.

Support service development projects, including technology integration and testing in new market regions.

Calibrate, troubleshoot, service, and supervise repair or installation of equipment, processes, and products.

Identify and implement process improvements; assist in developing and maintaining internal procedures.

Respond to customer enquiries, maintain strong client relationships, and support repeat and new business development.
Requirements

Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent qualification).

Analytical thinker with a strong willingness to learn independently or under supervision.

Customer-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple disciplines.

Practical experience with hand and power tools.

Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical theory, and relevant testing standards.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Flexibility to travel as required across the EU.

Valid driver’s licence.

Capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Effective time management and communication skills.
