The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Job Design Specialist to join a leading energy operator in Qatar. This is a strategic HR role focused on the design, evaluation, and governance of job structures across the organisation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in job analysis, evaluation methodologies (including Korn Ferry/Hay Group), and organisational design frameworks to ensure internal equity, support career progression, and drive consistency across the business.

This role is essential in maintaining a competitive and fair workforce structure that aligns with corporate strategy and industry standards.

Job Purpose

To advise, design, and deliver job design processes that enable the Company to attract and retain a high-calibre, diverse workforce at a competitive cost. Ensure all job roles are analyzed and evaluated to support organisational goals and preserve internal and external equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive job design services, including Job Analysis (JA) and Job Evaluation (JE) for all established roles.

  • Provide expert advice and interpretation of job design policies, resolving queries from senior management and staff.

  • Conduct internal job evaluations and validate external evaluations to ensure fairness and consistency in job grading.

  • Serve as Secretary to the Job Evaluation Committee (JFC), ensuring compliance with its charter, maintaining records, and circulating accurate minutes.

  • Chair Job Review Panel (JRP) meetings and provide training on job design processes to enhance understanding across the business.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Job Family Model (JFM) and career ladder frameworks to support workforce planning and career progression.

  • Review business cases for organisational change to identify new or updated positions requiring analysis, evaluation, and job description creation.

  • Assign job codes and validate that position titles align with the Company’s title framework.

  • Ensure all job descriptions (JDs) are maintained and accessible in SAP/SharePoint via MSS and ESS platforms.

  • Design and implement effective communication strategies to educate stakeholders on job design programs and demonstrate the link between job roles and salary structure.

Candidate Profile

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management.

  • Certified in Korn Ferry (Hay Group) Job Analysis and Job Evaluation – required.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Human Resources, including at least 4 years focused on compensation, job design, job analysis, and job evaluation.

  • Exposure to compensation and benefits frameworks in large or complex organisations is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Experienced in SAP HR or similar HRIS platforms.

  • Skilled in facilitating workshops, meetings, and training sessions across all organisational levels.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English) and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
