Overview
We are supporting a global engineering and industrial technology organisation in the search for a Sales Engineer specialising in Isolation Valves to support business growth across French-speaking Africa. This role will focus on developing long-term relationships with end users, expanding market presence, and driving technically focused sales solutions within the valves and flow control sector.

Based in Casablanca, the successful candidate will take ownership of regional sales development, working closely with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver engineered valve solutions to industrial clients. The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in expanding market share across major industrial and energy projects while working within a collaborative international sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the isolation valve business across French-speaking African markets

  • Achieve or exceed territory financial targets in line with the regional business strategy

  • Develop strong relationships with end users and key industrial clients to position valve solutions at specification stage

  • Work closely with local channel partners and representatives to strengthen market coverage

  • Identify and qualify major project opportunities and manage the sales pipeline accordingly

  • Support large project opportunities from early design and FEED stages through to order conversion

  • Promote solution-based selling for maintenance, upgrade and project-driven opportunities

  • Maintain and develop the installed customer base to maximise aftermarket and upgrade opportunities

  • Prepare market analysis including forecasts, pricing reviews, and competitor intelligence

  • Collaborate with other internal business units to maximise cross-selling opportunities

  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking through CRM systems and internal project tracking tools

  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with internal ethics, compliance and trade regulations

  • Actively identify customer challenges and develop technical solutions that improve operational performance

  • Maintain and develop approved vendor listings with key end users and operators

Requirements

  • Experience in technical sales within industrial equipment, valves, or flow control solutions

  • Experience working with end users in industrial sectors such as energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, power or heavy industry

  • Strong understanding of project-driven sales cycles including early engineering or specification stages

  • Experience working with channel partners or distributors in international markets is advantageous

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to develop long-term business relationships

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple project opportunities simultaneously

  • Fluency in French and English is required
