Interface Lead – Oil & Gas Projects

Work Schedule: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week (26 days/month)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interface Lead to manage and coordinate onshore and offshore technical and physical interfaces for major oil and gas compression projects. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, a strategic approach to project integration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all technical and physical project interfaces to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.

  • Develop and implement effective interface management policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project interfaces, ensuring timely resolution of potential conflicts.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, liaising with authorities as required.

  • Oversee project integration, managing interdependencies and potential simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).

  • Act as the primary point of contact for interface issues, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

  • Monitor interface progress, providing regular updates on any critical issues impacting project delivery.

  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of interface management activities.

  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on interface status and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in interface management within large-scale oil and gas projects, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.

  • Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and interdependencies.

  • Experience in developing interface management plans, processes, registers, and reporting systems.

  • Proven ability to manage interfaces with government agencies, contractors, and vendors for both offshore and onshore projects.

  • Skilled in legal, commercial, and technical risk management.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).

  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with interface management tools and professional office applications.
