Interface Lead - Onshore Oil & Gas Projects
Location: Qatar (initially office-based, then project site offices)
Employment Type: 36-month contract (possible extension)
Working Schedule: 10 hours per day, 5 days per week
We are looking for an experienced Interface Lead to manage technical and contractual interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams for a large-scale onshore oil and gas project. The role ensures alignment of project scope, schedule, and deliverables while maintaining effective collaboration between contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as technical liaison between civil, marine, MEP, instrumentation, and operations teams.
- Manage project interface activities to ensure seamless coordination between contractors and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement Interface Management Plans, including registers, matrices, and reporting systems.
- Organize and lead interface review meetings, workshops, and weekly coordination sessions.
- Resolve interface-related issues to prevent project delays or claims.
- Monitor EPC contractors' interface plans, ensuring proper implementation and compliance.
- Maintain interface-tracking databases and reporting systems.
- Support multi-disciplinary coordination across engineering, construction, and operations.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in interface management on large-scale oil and gas projects.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience or oversight of contractor/vendor personnel.
- Strong knowledge of project functions such as planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, contract management, and risk/change management.
- Excellent stakeholder coordination, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in interface management software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of civil, marine, and industrial standards, codes, and best practices.
