Contract Type: Annually Renewable Contract

Work Schedule: 3 weeks on office/site, 1 week remote (on rotation), working 5 days per week

Position Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Interface Engineer to join an internationally renowned company providing consulting, engineering, and architecture services. The successful candidate will play a key role in a groundbreaking Green Steel project, ensuring seamless integration of various contracts, contractors, and suppliers within the construction area. Reporting to the Interface Manager, you will help identify and resolve interface issues, working closely with internal teams and the client. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong leadership, and the ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural teams under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage interface issues in the assigned construction area by analyzing documentation from different contractors, engineering firms, suppliers, or service providers.

- Support the client in gathering and submitting documentation required for permits and authorizations in a timely manner.

- Coordinate the timely and compliant arrival of supplies and services from multiple companies, ensuring conditions of various contracts are met.

- Collaborate with the Interface Management Team to attend meetings, review project documents, and verify alignment across all contractors and suppliers.

- Supervise plan and procedure implementation to ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and legislation.

- Define effective communication channels at appropriate organizational levels.

- Oversee financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.

- Analyze project changes and forecast future trends.

- Identify and evaluate safety improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

- Communicate relevant project information to internal and external stakeholders.

- Liaise between the project team, public (general and local), and regulators, ensuring proper communication channels are established.

- Take responsibility for the completion of tasks and processes.

- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the team.

- Set performance expectations, monitor progress, and reinforce or correct behaviors as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements and Skills:

- Engineering degree required.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an engineer in Oil & Gas, Engineering and Construction, Steel, Mining, and/or Infrastructure sectors.

- Strong ability to analyze and understand engineering documents to manage project interfaces effectively.

- Team player with experience coordinating with engineering, supply management, contract management teams, and clients.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance.

- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

- Experience interfacing with managers from other disciplines and external organizations.

- Understanding of contracts and contractual requirements.

- Commitment to the highest standards of safety, security, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

- Experience in promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

- Capability in risk estimation, value management, and cost control.

- Strong networking and professional contact creation skills.

- Excellent conflict resolution and organizational skills.

- Fluent in English.
