Overview
An international energy operator is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join its Projects Engineering Support function. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex oil and gas facilities within a structured project delivery environment, supporting projects from early engineering through execution.
You will contribute specialist instrumentation and control expertise while working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities

Execute instrumentation engineering activities in line with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and approved design changes

Resolve technical issues during engineering and execution phases, escalating where appropriate

Support project execution teams with specialist instrumentation input

Develop, update, and maintain engineering procedures and technical documentation

Review and support engineering deliverables prepared by contractors and third-party service providers

Ensure instrumentation and control requirements are correctly applied during specification, design, and procurement activities

Provide technical guidance during FEED, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases

Support multi-disciplinary coordination and contribute to complex technical analyses as required

Assist with planning and scheduling of engineering activities to meet project milestones

Ensure all activities comply with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards

Promote safe engineering and execution practices across all project phases
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience
-
Minimum 4 years of experience in instrumentation or control engineering within the oil and gas industry

At least 2 years of experience supporting project execution or project management teams

Experience working with EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Skills and Competencies

Strong understanding of instrumentation and control engineering principles and industry codes
