Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to oversee offshore installations for major Oil & Gas projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional passionate about safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery in a dynamic, multi-national environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage offshore installations, heavy lifts, and non-routine installations such as topsides, jackets, and critical subsea items including pipelines, umbilicals, skids, tie-in spools, risers, and J-Tubes.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with the approved scope of work, drawings, engineering design, and relevant industry standards and specifications.
- Provide guidance to contractors on heavy lifts and subsea installations, ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, and material requirements.
- Review, comment, and approve contractor deliverables during all stages, including tendering, engineering, and offshore operations.
- Lead and participate in engineering workshops (e.g., Constructability reviews, SIMOPS, Schedule Risk Analysis, 3D Model Reviews, HAZOP, HAZDEM, Lifting Plan reviews).
- Oversee all offshore campaigns related to pipelines, umbilicals, and subsea installations.
- Monitor contractor performance in manpower, machinery, construction progress, and ensure the implementation of safety and environmental measures.
- Act as Construction Risk Management representative, identifying risks, proposing mitigation, and ensuring actions are implemented.
- Liaise with senior discipline engineers throughout project phases for construction-related issues.
- Maintain daily records, report on work anomalies, and recommend corrective actions for contractual deviations.
- Coordinate work permit compliance and manage mobilisation/demobilisation of contractors and vendors.
- Interface with other contractors, departments, and project teams to resolve construction-related matters.
Requirements:
- Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Diploma in Mechanical from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience supervising offshore installation for EPIC projects in oil and gas (production platforms, wellhead platforms, jackets, pipelay, cable lay, construction).
- Strong experience in FEED and EPIC project phases, able to review/approve contractor submissions.
- Competent in construction management and project documentation and reporting.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills in English (oral and written).
- Solid knowledge of offshore installation engineering standards, quality control, safety, and environmental practices.
- Skilled at interpreting and reviewing method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and drawings.
- Track record in leading multi-national, multi-cultural contractor workforces.
- Computer literate and experienced in document reviews.
