Job Title: Industrial Project Auditor
Location: Boden, Sweden
Assignment Type: Initial 6-Month Contract with Possibility of Extension
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day
Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Project Auditor to lead and perform end-to-end audits on large-scale industrial projects across manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure sectors. This critical role focuses on ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 standards, contractual obligations, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements across all project phases—from initiation to closure.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a major sustainable development initiative in Northern Sweden. The role requires a certified Lead Auditor with the leadership capability to manage complex audits and drive continuous improvement across multidisciplinary project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Leadership & Delivery:

Plan, coordinate, and lead comprehensive audits from scoping through final reporting.

Manage audit team members, ensuring objective and timely execution.

Deliver final reports with actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Act as the primary contact for auditees and project leadership.
Risk Management & Compliance:

Assess project execution against ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.

Identify non-conformities and opportunities for improvement across all project phases.

Apply dynamic risk-based auditing methods to address uncertainties and complex scenarios.
Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all audit activities comply with site-specific health and safety protocols.

Foster a culture of safety awareness within the audit team and throughout audit operations.
Knowledge Application:

Apply expert understanding of industrial project life cycles and execution methodologies.

Leverage sector-specific expertise in engineering, construction, or manufacturing.

Use up-to-date knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 19011, and other related standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related technical field.

Advanced degrees and professional certifications are advantageous.
Certification (Mandatory):

Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (e.g., IRCA, PECB, Exemplar Global).

Additional certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 19011, PMP, PRINCE2) are a strong plus.
Experience:

5–7 years in audit roles, including 3+ years as a Lead Auditor.

Auditing experience in complex industrial environments (e.g., CAPEX, plant construction, infrastructure, energy).

Previous project-based roles (e.g., engineering, construction, commissioning) are highly valued.

Experience auditing against ISO 9001, with knowledge of related frameworks and standards.
Technical Knowledge:

Strong grasp of project lifecycle and QMS documentation.

Familiarity with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements in industrial sectors.

Solid understanding of HSE standards and industry best practices.
