ICSS Lead - North Field Expansion Offshore Project
Location: Qatar Onshore
Contract Term: 36 months (with possibility to extend)
Working Hours: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week (26 days/month)

Job Purpose
Lead the Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) engineering activities for the North Field Expansion Offshore Project, ensuring all technical requirements and deliverables comply with project standards and policies. Provide expert guidance on control and safety systems for offshore and associated onshore facilities, driving asset reliability and safety in compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure contractor ICSS engineering complies with contract requirements and project codes/standards
- Review and approve ICSS deliverables from contractors and vendors for topsides and onshore facilities
- Plan and schedule ICSS deliverables to support efficient project execution
- Participate in design workshops (e.g., Cybersecurity, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA) and ensure recommendations are implemented
- Coordinate seamless integration of third-party packages into ICSS
- Develop and review control and safety system logic, shutdown hierarchy, and system narratives
- Coordinate technical endorsements of deviations from company specs with SMEs
- Supervise engineering interfaces for ICSS integration across topsides, onshore facilities, and project teams
- Support FATs/SATs and field commissioning activities for ICSS
- Develop procedures for smooth ICSS handover to operations
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in major oil and gas projects with broad knowledge of engineering execution, design standards, codes, safety criteria, and offshore facilities design, construction, and operations
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Proficient in technical report writing and presentations
- High level of English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Computer literacy including office applications and technical software
- Good knowledge of mechanical, piping, pipeline, structural, instrumentation, telecom, and electrical disciplines
