Position Title: Offshore HSE Officer
Shift Type: Day Shift
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Qatar Offshore
Start Date: 2nd to 3rd Week of June
Duration: Approx. 2 Months
Travel Requirement: Immediate mobilisation required

Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and certified HSE Officer for an offshore pipeline inspection campaign. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring regulatory compliance during all phases of offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct HSE inspections and audits in accordance with offshore project requirements

  • Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all work fronts

  • Support implementation of Contract HSE Plans, HIRA, HAZID and participate in HAZOP studies

  • Lead incident investigations using formal methodologies (e.g., Kelvin TopSet)

  • Advise on risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and hazard mitigation strategies

  • Monitor environmental performance and assist in identifying improvement opportunities

  • Prepare reports and communicate findings to project leadership

Mandatory HSE Qualifications and Certifications:

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Managing Safely

  • BOSIET or FOET (OPITO Approved)

  • H2S Awareness (OPITO Approved)

  • Offshore Medical (as per client's OMF requirements)

  • Auditor certification in ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001

Desirable/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Letter of appreciation or prior approval from major Qatar operators

  • Certificate in Marine or Offshore Safety

  • University Degree (Engineering, Environmental Science or related field)

  • Experience with ePTW (electronic Permit to Work systems)

  • Evidence of completion of MOSI (Management of Safety in Industry)

  • Prior project experience in Qatar or with high-profile offshore campaigns

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore HSE roles

  • Strong command of written and spoken English

  • Proven ability to conduct thorough incident investigations

  • Familiarity with industry-standard HSE inspection protocols

  • Experience developing and implementing HSE plans and risk assessments

  • Knowledge of applicable health and environmental legislation

  • Competency in monitoring compliance and improving HSE performance
