Job Title: Head of SHES (Safety, Health, Environment, Security)

Location: Batam, Indonesia

Working Hours: 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, 26 days per month

Contract Term: 36 months (with possibility of extension)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of SHES to lead Safety, Health, Environment, and Security activities at a major offshore fabrication yard. This role ensures that all project activities comply with SHES standards and regulatory requirements, while providing leadership and oversight to the project team and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all SHES activities during fabrication, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and load-out phases of offshore installations
  • Ensure compliance with SHES policies, procedures, regulations, and industry standards
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the project SHES team and contractor personnel
  • Review and provide technical feedback on contractor SHES documents, audits, and inspections
  • Facilitate identification, assessment, and mitigation of SHES risks, including Job Safety Analyses and daily safety briefings
  • Coordinate training programs for project personnel and verify proper execution
  • Monitor project SHES performance, reporting trends, incidents, and action plans to senior management
  • Support implementation of safety campaigns, incident investigations, and root cause analyses
  • Ensure effective emergency response arrangements and competent personnel are in place
  • Promote a culture of transparent reporting, learning, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Health, Environment, Security, Science, or Engineering

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of SHES experience in major projects within the oil and gas or energy industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Experience in offshore fabrication yards and managing multicultural teams
  • Strong knowledge of SHES management systems, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to lead teams, interact with contractors, and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
