Overview

We are supporting a major international energy operator on a large-scale production sustainability programme.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Process Engineering professional to drive delivery of complex offshore and onshore facility modifications, compression systems, and brownfield integration works.

The successful candidate will lead the Process Engineering function across major EPC activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality design and execution throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Process Engineering team, providing technical direction, oversight, and performance management.

Ensure delivery of process design and flow assurance in line with project requirements from FEED through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.

Review and approve contractor deliverables including simulations, calculations, technical reports, and engineering documentation.

Develop and validate Basis of Design, technical notes, and process studies to support the project scope.

Oversee brownfield tie-in design verification and ensure effective integration with existing facilities.

Ensure process design considers full asset lifecycle, operability, and long-term reliability.

Plan and coordinate Process Engineering deliverables to support project schedule and execution strategy.

Act as the primary technical interface with EPC contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Support preparation of EPC tender documentation and participate in technical bid evaluations.

Lead and participate in key technical workshops including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, value engineering, and lessons learned reviews.

Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with technical, safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical, piping, and instrumentation.

Provide technical risk assessment and support resolution of complex engineering issues.

Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

Support the development and mentoring of national workforce personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
-
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 6 years in offshore oil and gas projects.

Previous experience in a senior or lead Process Engineering role.

Strong experience with offshore platforms, pipelines, compression systems, and surface facilities across greenfield and brownfield projects.

Experience working on major capital projects (typically over USD 1 billion).

Strong understanding of EPC project execution from FEED through to commissioning.

Experience working with international Tier 1 EPC contractors or major operators.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving capability.

Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, matrix project environment.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
