Job Title: Head of Operations Excellence – Offshore

Overview:
An established energy operator is seeking a Head of Operations Excellence – Offshore to lead the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational excellence and process safety programmes across offshore facilities. This senior leadership role focuses on enhancing efficiency, reliability, and safety performance across operations, with particular emphasis on compression and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and sustain offshore operational excellence (OE) programmes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.

Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and safety across offshore assets.

Lead performance improvement and process optimisation initiatives, including logistics streamlining and efficiency enhancements.

Serve as the business owner for OE-related IT tools, ensuring integration and effective utilisation.

Develop, review, and maintain OE-related procedures, manuals, training materials, and assessment frameworks.

Oversee implementation of process safety and barrier management programmes, ensuring compliance with international standards.

Lead multidisciplinary teams to design and execute business improvement strategies and performance frameworks.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of OE initiatives.

Provide expert guidance on OE strategy, risk management, and operational performance improvement.

Support capability development by advising on technical competencies and structured training programmes for operations teams.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of 11 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong understanding of offshore operations.

Proven experience in implementing and sustaining Operations Excellence (OE) frameworks.

In-depth knowledge of process safety management, barrier management, and performance improvement methodologies.

Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management capabilities.
