Job Purpose

  • Lead and oversee design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical works for LPG and condensate storage tanks and solid sulphur handling
  • Provide technical oversight to FEED and EPC contractors ensuring compliance with project requirements
  • Ensure all discipline documents developed during FEED and EPC phases meet project standards

Key Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate safety leadership and promote excellent SHES behaviours
  • Participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions, and site safety walkthroughs
  • Ensure contractor activities comply with local regulations, codes, standards, and project specifications
  • Review and approve mechanical datasheets and identify potential project risks
  • Manage mechanical discipline resources to ensure timely work completion
  • Track, record, and close design review comments to support schedule and quality
  • Participate in workshops including Plot Plan/Layouts, Constructability, and 3D model reviews
  • Identify, track, and implement lessons learned, particularly for existing plant sections
  • Monitor contractor progress and ensure timely issuance of mechanical documentation
  • Support static equipment spare parts identification and quantification
  • Assist in change management processes, analyze change orders, and provide recommendations
  • Support risk management by identifying issues and tracking mitigation actions

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience including:
    • At least 6 years in the oil and gas sector
    • At least 2 years in a supervisory, acting, or contractor oversight role
  • Experience across all project phases including start-up, commissioning, and handover
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, design, and execution methodologies
  • Broad experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, gating systems, risk and change management, interface management, and commissioning
  • Proficiency in pressure vessel, heat exchanger, column, and storage tank design
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and codes such as ASME, API, and TEMA
  • Strong analytical, organisational, coordination, and planning skills
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
