About the Role
We’re supporting a prominent international energy venture in their search for an experienced Head of Contracts to join a large-scale onshore construction project. This position is instrumental in leading the contract team on a multi-billion-dollar EPC contract within a complex, multinational, and high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of contract specialists managing all aspects of a major EPCC contract post-award

Oversee contract performance, change orders, dispute prevention, and claims management

Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project management and senior leadership

Develop and implement contract management strategies across the onshore scope

Ensure compliance with legal and governance frameworks in claims and dispute resolution

Work cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Finance, and Engineering to drive value protection

Support digital transformation and improvement initiatives in contract administration

Coordinate responses to contractor issues and ensure alignment across internal stakeholders

Lead contract close-out activities in accordance with project procedures and timelines

Drive recruitment and mentoring of top-tier contract professionals within the team
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or related field

Minimum 10 years' experience in post-award management of major EPC contracts (Lump Sum)

Background in major energy, construction, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred

Project Management, Project Controls, or Construction Management backgrounds welcomed

Strong commercial, contractual, and legal risk awareness

Experience in claims resolution, dispute negotiation, and contract strategy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong influencing, leadership, and team development capabilities
