Position: Head of Commissioning – COMP3
Location: Karimun, Indonesia (initial assignment) & Qatar (Onshore/Offshore)
Working Pattern: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week
Rotation: Single – 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off | Married – Residential
Contract Term: 36 months (with possibility of extension)
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:
The Head of Commissioning will lead the delivery of all commissioning activities for the COMP3 project, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning works. This role will oversee contractor performance, coordinate with EPC and operations teams, and ensure all systems and handover documentation meet project requirements, supporting a smooth transition to onshore and offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities at the fabrication yard.

  • Provide oversight, guidance, and accountability to contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.

  • Maximise onshore commissioning to reduce offshore requirements and improve overall project efficiency.

  • Manage systems completion and commissioning deliverables within the EPC package framework.

  • Support change management processes and develop recovery plans for any schedule delays.

  • Foster a positive project culture to drive team performance and engagement.

  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical and interface issues effectively.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate coordination and issue resolution.

  • Integrate lessons learned into execution practices to continuously improve commissioning processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in commissioning/completion management, including offshore facilities and SIMOPS projects.

  • At least 2 years in supervisory roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, safety leadership, and HSE compliance.

  • Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with system completion management systems (Hexagon, WinPCS) is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
