Compensation and Benefits Specialist - Group Role

Location: Doha, Qatar

Reporting to: Group Diversity Director

Visa/Sponsorship: Relocation support available for candidates outside Qatar

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits (C&B) Specialist to lead and manage C&B activities across the organisation. This role combines hands-on C&B management at the head office with Group-wide advisory responsibilities, supporting multiple business units on compensation, benefits, and performance management matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage job architecture and conduct job evaluations and grading for new or revised positions using recognised methodologies (e.g., HAY)
  • Develop, review, and update compensation and benefits policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
  • Advise managers and employees at head office on compensation topics including job grading, job evaluation, remuneration, and HR policy application
  • Prepare head office staff budgets, coordinate, and execute annual merit and bonus cycles
  • Advise and support HR managers in business units on C&B projects, including policy design, salary structures, and pay frameworks
  • Coordinate and implement Group-wide C&B initiatives in collaboration with local HR teams
  • Analyse staff planning and organisational structures and recommend improvements
  • Consolidate annual staff plans across entities and prepare related presentations
  • Prepare monthly HR reports, analyse HR data, and maintain HR dashboards
  • Monitor performance management processes (goal setting, reviews, development plans) and report Group-wide results
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies related to compensation, benefits, and performance management
  • Keep up to date with market and regulatory developments in C&B and performance management and translate them into recommendations

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in a Compensation and Benefits role
  • Subject matter expertise in job evaluation and job grading methodologies such as HAY
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel and data analytics tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with HRIS or compensation modules, ideally Oracle
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and drive them to completion
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken
