Job Dimensions
The job holder is responsible for all Flow Assurance (FA) studies performed to ensure effective delivery of hydrocarbons from wells to facility. Providing technical expertise, the Flow Assurance Leader will contribute to continuous, safe, and efficient operations to meet or exceed LNG production targets. Ensures raw gas feed inlet for 13Mt of LNG per year (300 kboepd) flows into the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure flow assurance simulation studies are performed as required (production optimization, forecasting, modification, etc.)
- Production optimization and troubleshooting
- Develop Flow Assurance Dossier and Flow Assurance Manual according to internal rules and guidelines
- Prepare sequence for start-up while limiting flaring (gas-in with 8'' feeding to start-up of 22'' trunk lines, turndown of units, etc.)
- Recommend solutions to optimize existing installations and operating modes
- Take necessary actions for monitoring performance and adjusting operating procedures based on field observations
- Develop flow assurance operating guidelines for commissioning and well start-up from initial fuel gas period up to two LNG trains operation (13mpta)
- Assist the asset team in analyzing production shortfalls related to Flow Assurance, identifying mitigation and preventive actions, and troubleshooting
- In collaboration with the Chemical Treatment team, ensure all chemical and deposit-related flow issues are adequately addressed to minimize production upsets
- Serve as focal point of contact with subsurface group to ensure production forecast can be achieved within the operating envelopes of the entire production gathering network
- Provide assistance to new developments, studies, and projects, ensuring Flow Assurance feedback is provided
- Develop and maintain the flow assurance model, maintaining close communication with reservoir and well performance teams, ensuring well test data and PVT are accurately updated
- Lead technical development of monitoring and production management tools with third-party providers
- Support the development of other subsea operating tools and digital solutions, working closely with HQ to optimize subsea production KPIs, operating envelopes, chemical injection usage, and forecasts
- Ensure effective communication with HQ specialists and provide feedback on flow assurance topics
- Develop Flow Assurance training plan materials and deliver training for operators and site production personnel
Context and Environment
- Based in Paris for the Engineering phase, with later relocation to Maputo
- Responsible for preparing subsea flow assurance for operational phase
Accountabilities

- Prepare subsea for start up, including all calculations, simulations, procedures, processes, reporting to HQ, and tools
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Master's degree or higher in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent with international standards
- Extensive experience with process simulation tools such as Pro/II, Olga, and PVTSim
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industry, with at least 10 years in Flow Assurance
- Experience in LNG Flow Assurance is a plus
- Strong communication skills, organization, and methodical approach
