About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Flow Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact global energy projects, supporting the development of innovative flow assurance and process solutions in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and develop flow assurance scopes of work across various energy projects.

  • Deliver high-quality engineering deliverables under the supervision of Lead/Principal Engineers.

  • Execute design calculations and support engineering and field development studies.

  • Assist with conceptual process design and modelling work.

  • Run simulations using proprietary flow assurance software such as OLGA, Pipesim, PVTsim, and Pipenet.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including study reports, design notes, and engineering analyses.

  • Collaborate across disciplines and with clients to ensure quality and timely delivery of project objectives.

  • Maintain awareness of project schedules and contribute to planning activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.

Experience:

  • 2 to 8 years in flow assurance or process engineering (candidates with over 10 years’ experience will also be considered).

  • Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, phase behaviour, and thermodynamic properties.

  • Proficiency with PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, and heat and material balances.

  • Knowledge of key flow assurance challenges including hydrate formation, wax deposition, scale, corrosion, and asphaltenes.

  • Familiarity with process simulation tools such as HYSYS, ProII, OLGA, Pipesim, PVTsim, and/or Pipenet.

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong written communication skills, including report writing and technical documentation.

  • Demonstrated initiative and eagerness to learn and apply new software or methodologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
