Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to act as Topsides Facilities Lead within an operator’s project team, supporting a brownfield FPSO modification FEED study. This is a key owner’s-side technical leadership role, overseeing contractor FEED activities and ensuring engineering deliverables align with business, regulatory, and partner expectations ahead of project sanction. The role involves shaping scope, assuring engineering quality, and guiding the technical direction of the topsides facilities package.
Indicative Responsibilities

Develop and update the Scope of Work (SOW) in line with current project requirements

Lead technical review of contractor proposals, finalising scope, execution plans, schedules, and MDR

Monitor budget, progress, and technical performance of the FEED contractor

Develop and implement the quality plan, including coordination with Technical Authorities

Coordinate and manage review of contractor engineering deliverables

Originate and contribute to project engineering documentation relevant to topsides facilities

Act as the technical focal point supporting the EPCI strategy (Basis of Design, key deliverables, technical queries)

Support preparation of materials required for regulatory, partner, and investment decision approvals

Work closely with the wider project team to ensure technical alignment and successful delivery of project objectives
Key Requirements

Strong experience as a Facilities, Process, or Topsides Engineer within offshore oil & gas projects

Proven background supporting FPSO brownfield modifications

Experience working on FEED studies from an operator or EPC perspective

Strong understanding of topsides systems and integration challenges on live offshore assets

Experience managing or technically overseeing engineering contractors

Comfortable operating within an owner’s project team environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with technical authorities, contractors, and stakeholders
