DESCRIPTION
This role is located at a fabrication yard in Niemodlin. There might come trips to Zary and Lebiniska for training and/or substituting colleague. The work is to oversee that Technical Standards are adhered too and to assist and support the supplier(s) in being successful with regards to deliver our products safely, in good quality and very important on time. The role will mainly involve work with Secondary Structures SIP fabrication for BAL02 and SIP fabrication and Boat Landings and Ladders HOW03 but can also include (SIP assembly etc.). The main function/responsibility of the role is "Fabrication" but supervision and inspection work for other disciplines (welding, Coating, NDT, Civil & Concrete work, material logistics, etc.) can be expected too.
The position will report to the Fabrication Manager for BAL02 for Secondary Steel who are based in Denmark (will visit site every 1-2 months or when needed) and to the Fabrication Manager for HOW03 who are based in Denmark (will visit site every 1-2 months or when needed). Candidates must bring own working clothes including PPE (safety work shoes, safety helmet, safety glasses). One set of working clothes will be given within the first months. A laptop and phone will be provided for work use.
REQUIREMENTS
- Practical as well as theoretical experience with fabrication and inspection such as : IWI International Welding Inspector, IWS International Welding Specialist, IWT International Welding Technician or IWE International Welding Engineer.
- Frosio level III / NACE (a plus)
- NDT level II or III (a plus)
- Bachelor's or Master in civil or mechanical engineering with practical experiences of heavy-duty steel structure manufacturing (a plus)
- Technically strong, adaptable, works well in teams, strong communication abilities
- Polish and English speaking
- Good English skills both writing and verbal
- Recommended 10 years of site experience on fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites
- Recommended 5 years of experience from similar position
- All relevant safety training courses are needed to perform the job
- Innovative, quick learner, with track record in the use of latest coating processes and technologies.
- Ensure all involved manpower are familiar and understand all specifications, HSE, drawings and documentation.
- Ensure that interfaces and cooperation are implemented with other disciplines.
- Monitor relevant activities with representatives from Contractors/sub-contractors and supervise inspectors from other disciplines who are involved in the site team.
- Monitor working progress against schedule and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.
