Job Brief:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Expediting Leader skilled in overseeing the manufacture and delivery of industrial equipment and components (steel structures, mechanical, electrical, and I&C) for international projects. In this role, you will manage the entire process of project supplies from design through manufacturing and logistics, ensuring smooth transport of equipment to the site. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational and contractual matters and strive to meet project timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Contract Management Team and Project Directors in overseeing manufacturing processes for project supplies.
- Lead and coordinate the Expeditors Team to ensure timely and compliant delivery from suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for all project supplies.
- Liaise with logistics teams from suppliers and contractors for information on supplies.
- Build and maintain technical and administrative relationships with all stakeholders to resolve supply-related issues.
- Track manufacturing and delivery progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Monitor quality control and verify compliance with technical specifications and regulations.
- Manage technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and availability prior to delivery.
- Maintain proactive communication with suppliers to resolve delays, quality issues, or requirement changes.
- Report supply status and risks to the project team, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the planning team to adjust schedules based on actual material availability.
- Identify and report project risks early and develop treatment plans.
- Issue and sign formal communications regarding project supplies.
- Assist with and lead project and contract review meetings, tracking task completion across departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Contract Manager and Project Management.
Requirements and Skills:
- Degree in Engineering.
- Experience in the steel, mining, and/or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong team management skills, with the ability to manage expeditor needs.
- Experience with EPC contracts and/or in PMC or EPCM service teams.
- Background in quality assurance/control and workshop manufacturing.
- Knowledge of international logistics management of materials and Incoterms.
- Experience in risk and mitigation planning.
- Commercial awareness and understanding.
- Proven ability to work on technically complex projects.
- Willingness to commute to northern Sweden for 3 weeks each month.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera, and/or Aconex.
- Fluent in English.
