About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading project delivery organisation operating across major infrastructure and industrial sectors. Known for delivering complex builds, they are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with a commercially astute Estimator.
This is a key role where your work will directly influence which projects move forward-and how they are delivered.
The Role
As an Estimator, you will take ownership of the cost planning and tendering process from initial review through to submission. You'll play a strategic role in shaping competitive bids, identifying risks, and ensuring projects are both technically and commercially viable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies during tender stage
- Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation
- Engage with design teams to ensure accurate and buildable solutions
- Present tender submissions and key commercial insights to stakeholders
- Support smooth project handover to delivery teams
What We’re Looking For

Experience in estimating within construction or engineering projects

Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Understanding of building systems (MEP/HVAC knowledge is beneficial)

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Highly organised with strong attention to detail
