Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Control Manager to lead cost management across complex EPC oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan. This pivotal role will drive financial accountability by implementing robust cost control strategies, forecasting methodologies, and risk mitigation practices to ensure projects are delivered within budget and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced cost control strategies, tools, and procedures across all phases of EPC projects.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost variances, providing strategic corrective actions to align with financial targets.
- Prepare detailed cost forecasts, variance reports, and financial dashboards to inform project leadership.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure precise cost allocation and reporting.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier cost proposals to ensure budget compliance and value optimization.
- Apply earned value management (EVM) techniques to evaluate project financial health and progress.
- Identify cost risks early and develop mitigation strategies to prevent overruns or delays.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, local regulations, and corporate financial standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of cost control professionals, enhancing skills and promoting best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement of cost management systems to increase project efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in cost control, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role within the EPC or oil & gas industry.
- Experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
- Proficiency in SAP and cost control tools such as Oracle or Primavera Cost Manager.
- Deep knowledge of EPC project financial management, budget control, and forecasting techniques.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive decision-making.
