Overview:

We are looking for an EPC Industrial Relation Inspector to join our team and support labor law compliance, workforce relations, and workplace policy enforcement across major EPC oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan. This role is essential to maintaining a stable, safe, and legally compliant work environment, while supporting conflict resolution and contractor oversight.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and ad hoc site inspections to ensure compliance with labor laws and workforce agreements.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor labor practices; report any non-compliance or discrepancies to management.
  • Assist in the resolution of workplace grievances and disputes by serving as a liaison between employees, unions, and project teams.
  • Support the implementation of labor relations policies and collective bargaining agreements across EPC sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of workforce compliance, disputes, and resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Recommend improvements to labor practices, worker welfare programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in investigations of workplace incidents and help enforce appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with health and safety teams to ensure alignment with labor safety regulations on EPC project sites.
  • Conduct awareness and training sessions on industrial relations best practices and policies.
  • Generate reports for senior management on workforce performance, compliance issues, and industrial relations trends.

     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience, with at least 2 years directly related to labor relations or compliance.
  • Understanding of Kazakhstan labor laws and workforce practices specific to EPC or construction projects.
  • Strong experience with labor inspections, dispute resolution, and compliance reporting.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • ERP proficiency, preferably with SAP, is a key requirement.
