Overview:
We are seeking a visionary EPC Executive Director to lead the strategic growth, operational excellence, and successful delivery of large-scale EPC oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's project execution capabilities and expanding its footprint across the energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical, commercial, and leadership acumen to deliver complex projects on time and within budget, while ensuring safety, sustainability, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the strategic vision for EPC operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market opportunities.
- Oversee all project phases-from engineering, procurement, and construction to commissioning-ensuring timely, high-quality execution.
- Lead business development initiatives, identify new project opportunities, and forge strategic partnerships to drive market expansion.
- Ensure financial discipline, project profitability, and adherence to cost and budgetary controls across all EPC activities.
- Engage with key stakeholders including clients, government authorities, and industry partners to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
- Champion best practices in project management, risk mitigation, and quality assurance for high-complexity energy projects.
- Develop and enforce corporate policies for safety, ESG compliance, and operational excellence across the EPC portfolio.
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPIs and project metrics to drive performance, efficiency, and proactive course correction when needed.
- Represent the organization at regulatory forums, investor briefings, and industry events to strengthen brand and stakeholder trust.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in EPC project execution, with a focus on oil and gas or large infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in managing full lifecycle EPC projects, stakeholder engagement, and high-value contract negotiations.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L oversight, budget management, and profitability optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-performance teams and implement scalable project delivery systems.
- ERP system proficiency (preferably SAP) is required to succeed in this role.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
