Job Title: Environmental Supervisor

Location: Project / Facility Sites, Qatar

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Supervisor to lead and monitor environmental programs for major onshore oil & gas construction projects. The role ensures compliance with local regulations and company standards, minimises environmental impact, and promotes sustainable practices across project operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience onshore in oil & gas construction projects of similar size and complexity, preferably in Qatar or the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement environmental programs in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply and monitor compliance with environmental regulations and Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
  • Supervise waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention initiatives.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and audits for subcontractors and project activities.
  • Maintain environmental records and reporting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly submissions.
  • Investigate environmental incidents or non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Support contractors and project teams in environmental awareness and compliance.
  • Deliver environmental training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and stakeholders.
  • Maintain environmental impact registers and ensure ongoing monitoring of project compliance.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Proficient in environmental monitoring systems and data management software.
  • Practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in remote oil & gas environments.
  • Ability to liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and project leadership.
