An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to manage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team within a regulated infrastructure environment.
This role combines technical leadership, team development, and project delivery responsibility across long-term water and utilities programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop engineers, technicians, and graduates
- Build team capability and foster a strong, positive working culture
- Lead design delivery across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
- Improve and embed engineering design processes and best practice
- Support and drive use of digital engineering tools, including BIM and 3D modelling
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and integrated design outputs
- Manage workload planning, programme delivery, budgets, and resources
- Oversee compliance with engineering standards, tools, and procedures
- Manage design changes and ensure accurate documentation control
- Support estimation and planning of engineering design activities
Requirements
- Strong background in engineering design within regulated infrastructure sectors
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Track record of mentoring and developing engineering staff
- Experience within water, utilities, or similar regulated environments
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
- Strong leadership, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within structured design and delivery processes
- Degree, HND, or equivalent engineering qualification
- Full UK driving licence preferred
