Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of quality management systems across engineering projects. This role involves establishing robust quality procedures, conducting technical audits, driving compliance with industry standards, and mentoring engineering teams to deliver excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a highly experienced engineer with extensive oil and gas or offshore project expertise, offering a chance to influence quality standards and contribute to the success of large-scale, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Establish, maintain, and continually improve engineering quality management systems.

Lead internal, third-party, and client quality audits, ensuring timely closeout of findings.

Review and approve engineering procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Conduct technical audits and peer reviews, issuing audit schedules and reports.

Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines to support quality objectives.

Define, monitor, and report on quality KPIs and cost of non-quality.

Provide input into proposals, RFQs, POs, and vendor evaluations.

Assess and pre-qualify engineering subcontractors and conduct audits of service providers.

Train engineering staff on internal quality audit (IQA) processes.

Report engineering quality performance data and trends to senior management.

Promote continuous improvement and sustainable quality practices across engineering projects.

Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and ethical standards in all quality activities.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.

Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in onshore/offshore oil and gas or FPSO projects.

Certified ISO 9001 / 29001 Lead Auditor.

Strong knowledge of engineering quality systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to conduct technical audits, monitor closeouts, and implement KPIs.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with software and database systems supporting engineering functions.
