Job Title: Senior Embedded Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate automotive software functionality and performance
- Execute both manual and automated tests to identify and document software defects
- Collaborate closely with development teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and Python scripts for enhanced testing efficiency
- Analyze test results, providing detailed reports on software quality and identified issues
- Conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionalities
- Ensure all testing activities meet industry standards, such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE
- Participate in design reviews, offering input to improve testability and software quality
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and tools
Key Duties:
- Create and maintain test documentation (plans, cases, scripts) for SW Qualification Tests
- Set up and configure test environments for real-world replication
- Identify, track, and prioritize defects using defect tracking tools
- Perform performance, stress, and scalability testing
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for defect resolution and software release delivery
- Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies
- Monitor and report on testing progress and key metrics
- Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent defect recurrence
- Ensure test case traceability to requirements for validation and compliance
Authority:
- Approve test plans and test cases
- Define and validate testing methodologies and frameworks
- Authorize updates to test scripts and environments
Required Skills and Experience:
- Substantial experience in software test development
- Python-based test automation for ECU validation
- Experience in HIL or SIL testing environments
- Skilled in test case specification, execution, and reporting
- Understanding of requirements-based testing and traceability
Desired Skills:
- Experience with HIL testing in Vector based systems (e.g., CANoe)
- Proficiency in CANoe / CAPL scripting
- Familiarity with HV or powertrain systems
- Knowledge of XCP, ETK, VX1000
- Electrical engineering background with strong Python programming skills
