Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and repair activities for power generation systems. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and client requirements while leading a team of electrical technicians.
Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Coordination:

Supervise a team of electricians and technicians performing electrical work.

Allocate work tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality execution.

Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical issues.

Electrical Maintenance & Testing:
-
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
-
Conduct and supervise insulation testing, load testing, and grounding system checks.

Installation & Commissioning:
-
Supervise installation and commissioning of generators, ATS panels, synchronizing panels, and switchgear.

Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and electrical standards.

Safety & Compliance:
-
Enforce electrical safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures.
-
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.

Technical Reporting:
-
Document work activities, test results, and incident reports.
-
Coordinate with clients and internal departments for updates and approvals.

Spare Parts & Tools:
-
Manage availability of electrical tools, test equipment, and spares.
-
Recommend procurement based on site needs and usage trends.

Requirements
-
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation or electrical maintenance roles.

Experience with diesel/gas generators, control systems, and electrical panels.

Experience in managing a technical team.

Skills & Competencies:
-
Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, protection systems, and troubleshooting.

Ability to interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.

Proficient in using testing instruments (megger, multimeter, clamp meter, etc.).

Effective team leadership and communication skills.
-
CMMS experience and knowledge of local electrical codes.

Working Conditions

Site and workshop-based role with regular travel to client locations.
-
May require extended working hours and emergency call-out support.

Work in electrically hazardous environments with strict adherence to safety procedures.
